Minister of Finance attends G-20 Summit

Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf led the Saudi delegation to the Group of Twenty (G-20) summit in Cannes, France today. The delegation, which included Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) Governor Dr. Mohammed Al-Jasser and other financial officials, was received at the Elysee Palace by French President Nicholas Sarkozy, Foreign Minister Alan Juppe and Minister of Economy Francois Baroin.In a statement, Dr. Al-Assaf described the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to maintain balance in the world oil market in order to meet the global demand for energy. Furthermore, he confirmed the Saudi government’s plans to push forward with major public infrastructure projects to meet the needs of its citizens.
