Majlis Al-Shoura approves judicial reforms

During its meeting in Riyadh today, the Majlis Al-Shoura (Consultative Council) tasked the Ministry of Justice with drawing up regulations and setting safeguards to prevent the marriage of underage girls.

Presided over by Speaker Abdullah bin Mohammad bin Ibrahim Al-Asheikh, the Majlis also approved judicial and administrative formations for courts, new judicial districts and notaries.

In a statement following the session, Secretary General of the Majlis Al-Shoura Dr. Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi said that the council is following the intentions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to reinvigorate the judiciary and to promote and support judicial reforms financially as well as morally.
