King Abdullah opens 26th Janadriyah Festival

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz patronized today the opening ceremony of the 26th Janadriyah National Festival for Heritage and Culture, which is organized annually by the National Guard. Upon his arrival at the venue, King Abdullah received visiting Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and his accompanying delegation, along with a number of other officials and guests.

The Janadriyah Festival opened with the playing of the Saudi and Bahraini national anthems and a recitation of verses of the Holy Quran. Then, the grand camel race began, followed by an awards ceremony for the winners. Afterwards, King Abdullah and King Hamad graced a dinner banquet held in honor of the occasion.

The opening ceremony and dinner party were attended by Prince Bandar bin Mohammed bin Abdulrahman; Riyadh Governor Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz; Makkah Governor Prince Khalid Al-Faisal; Prince Faisal bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Kabeer; Advisor to the Minister of Interior Prince Mohammed bin Saad bin Abdulaziz; Chief of General Intelligence Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz; Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashed Al-Zayani; senior civil and military officials; and a group of citizens.
