The Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights has a job opening for a fulltime for Communications Director.

Job Objectives:
To participate in developing EIPR strategic plans, in particular its communication strategy EIPR, to take part in managing and representing EIPR locally in its external relations, and to provide appropriate channels of communication between EIPR and other external parties.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Supervising the development of EIPR's identity.
2. Taking part in the creation and development of EIPR's media strategy.
3. Participating in the strategic planning for EIPR's various programmes, and contributing by adding or developing communications-related aspects of the action-plans of various programmes.
4. Coordinating and supervising plans for launching reports and other publications.
5. Supervising the development of EIPR's resources in terms of promotional resources, bulletins, and documentation of its achievements.
6. Managing EIPR's public relations.
7. Coordinating and ensuring the technical quality of EIPR's productions, including printed material, films, and web-based material.
8. Providing support and guidance to the communications team (media, internet, and audio-visual production).
9. Representing EIPR at conferences and meetings held inside and outside the organisation, and playing the role of official EIPR spokesperson (alongside other staff members).

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in communications, preferably with higher-level studies in the same field or any other related field.
2. At least five years' experience in the field, preferably within civil society organisations.
3. Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English. Willingness and ability to travel both inside and outside of Egypt.
4. Creativity and the ability to think outside the box, with also great attention to detail.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Demonstrated management skills, with strong editing and writing skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure, whether individually or as part of a team, and the ability to perform a number of different tasks.

Salary
Salary will be commensurate with experience, and within the framework of the average salaries offered by Egyptian human rights organisations.
