Some well known musicians, including hometown favorite Nelly, will be performing free shows in St. Louis this summer. Celebrate St. Louis has announced the entertainment lineup for the 2012 Celebrate St. Louis Summer Concerts. The concerts were previously known as Live on the Levee. The concerts will be held July 13 & 14, and July 20 & 21.
Celebrate St. Louis is also planning a three day celebration for this year's Fair St. Louis. For more information, check out the Guide to Fair St. Louis 2012.

The largest dog festival in the Midwest is coming to Forest Park. Bark in the Park is also the biggest annual fundraiser for the Humane Society of Missouri. The event includes a dog walk, entertainment, food and more. Bark in the Park is Saturday, May 19, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Cricket Field in Forest Park. The dog walk begins at 11 a.m., led by this year's mascot, G.I. Joe. Registration is $25 for adults and $5 for children ages 15 and younger. The registration fee includes an official Bark in the Park t-shirt. For more information, go to the Humane Society website.

It's May and the weather is already feeling a lot like summer. You can get an early start on summer fun this month with all kinds of outdoor events and activities. There's the Microfest Beer Festival in Forest Park, Strawberry Festival at Eckert's Orchards and the opening of the Lantern Festival at the Missouri Botanical Garden. St. Louis is ready to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. There's the big street festival on Cherokee Street on Saturday, May 5, complete with a parade, live music, food, drinks, art and more.
