ORDER – LG filed for an order under 28 U.S.C. 1782 to obtain discovery from Qualcomm for use in German and Japanese proceedings. BRIEF – The S.E.C. subpoenaed Google to find the owners of e-mail addresses connected to alleged “pump and dump” schemes. The owners (John Does) seek to quash the subpoenas based on their First Amendment rights.
