Argentinian sisters Lucia and Maine Garcias fought for 15 years to get their parents' torturers and assassins in jail against a backdrop of their country's struggle to address crimes committed by the bloody 1976-1983 military dictatorship.

From organising demonstrations against impunity laws to conducting popular trials against human rights abusers, Witness follows the sisters as they grew up to see the government finally putting the criminals on trial after more than a decade of struggling.

But not even that could compensate for the personal loss of the 150,000 families still affected by crimes committed 34 years ago.
