Later this month, the Supreme Court will issue its long-anticipated ruling in National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius, otherwise known as the Obamacare case. Will the Court ratify the federal government's unprecedented assertion of power to compel people to engage in economic activity? If so, what is left of the idea that the Constitution creates a government of limited powers? If not, how much of the rest of the legislation will fall along with the individual health insurance mandate? More broadly, what will this case-of-the-century mean for the Constitution and our health care system, and what are the next steps for Congress?
