CIVIL RIGHTS – Baughman v. Walt Disney World Co.
OPINION – The 9th Circuit has told Walt Disney World Co. to reconsider its ban on the use of Segways at Disneyland, finding that a disabled patron’s request to use the device is a “necessary and reasonable modification” to the theme park's policies. (9th Cir.)
The cast of the award-winning TV show sued 20th Century Fox for violating their work contracts under California Law in a move seen as a bid for higher pay.
The revised concessions are apparently focused on the presentation of search results, how reviews appear in them and adjustment/removal of some contractual restrictions.
According to a partially redacted filing in federal court, Apple believes the Korean company "chose to compete by copying."
The deal resolves a 3-year-old case over minimum monthly payments and comes as the bank, like many of its main rivals, addresses a wide range of litigation over its practices.
