They prepare dishes for world leaders and royalty...and every once in a while they get together to dish the dirt: at least to one another. The club of les chefs des chefs has been meeting for for 35 years. Cristeta Comerford is chef to the American President. She says First Lady Michelle Obama goes beyond the trend of just buying local produce. (SOUNDBITE) (English) CHEF TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, CRISTETA COMERFORD, SAYING: "Her (U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama's) garden has been around since they came in so the spring of, I think it was 2009 that we started the garden. And it has pretty much grown into a much bigger square footage and we use it definitely for their daily meals and of course for official and state dinners as well." Among the elite cooks are chef to the French President, who regularly cooks for the likes of the German chancellor, Angela Merkel, when she visits Paris - and chef, Anton Mosimann, who cooked for last year's British royal wedding: (SOUNDBITE) (English) CHEF WORKING FOR BRITISH ROYAL FAMILY, ANTON MOSIMANN, SAYING: "Prince William and Kate came to my restaurant for a tasting so we knew already roughly their likes and dislikes and so we created something very special, a big choice of first courses, main courses, desserts, and we had about a two hour and a half meeting with table settings, flowers, plates cutlery, tablecloths, the colour scheme, it was a fantastic occasion. But it's not just the taste that's important at state banquets. The chefs believe they can help leaders stomach some of the decisions they have to make. At last month's meeting between Francois Hollande and Angela Merkel, marking 50 years of Franco-German reconciliation, French chefs chose to reproduce the famous meal of filet of beef and raspberry macaroons prepared in 1962 for Charles de Gaulle and Konrad Adenauer when they signed their friendship treaty.
