OPINION – A former Los Angeles police officer whose 3-year-old son shot him with his service weapon has won the revival of his lawsuit against gun maker Glock Inc., convincing an appeals court that a jury should decide whether a “light” trigger and lack of a safety mechanism rendered the gun defective. CIVIL RIGHTS – Baughman v. Walt Disney World Co.
OPINION – The 9th Circuit has told Walt Disney World Co. to reconsider its ban on the use of Segways at Disneyland, finding that a disabled patron’s request to use the device is a “necessary and reasonable modification” to the theme park's policies. (9th Cir.)
