Olympics Africa Village shut amid dispute

Row over unpaid bills leads to closure of facility that was to showcase continent’s potential.

Organisers of London 2012 say more than two million spectators have passed through the Olympic Park in the past two weeks.

Countries around the world have been using the games to showcase their tourism industries.

But the Africa Village in London’s Kensington Gardens has been forced to shut five days early in a dispute over unpaid bills, organisers say.
