Libya’s interim interior minister Fawzi Abdelali has resigned after members of the newly-elected parliament accused his forces of neglect when attackers bulldozed Sufi's Al-Shaab Al-Dahman mosque and shrine on Saturday while police stood by in the latest in a string of assaults on Sufi places of worship. They also condemned the acts of violence.
There has been a low turnout at the elections of the Local Council in Zliten. The number of registered voters reached 74 thousands but only 14 thousand participated comparing to the number of participants in the July National Congress elections which reached 59 thousand.
