ICC Schedules Hearing on Seif al Islam Trial
Hearings of an objection raised by Libya to its trial of Seif al Islam Gaddafi on crimes against humanity charges in the International Criminal Court, ICC in The Hague, originally scheduled for October 8/9 has been rescheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday October 9-10, the court said in a statement.

Moody's Upgrades APICORP's Rating
In a strong validation of its increasingly robust fundamentals, Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation (APICORP), the Multilateral Development Bank of the Organisation of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) in which the Libyan government has a 15% stake, has announced that Moody’s has upgraded its issuer and senior unsecured rating from A1 to Aa3, while maintaining a stable outlook.

US Withdrawing More Staff from Libyan Embassy
After withdrawing staff from its consulate in Benghazi following the death of its ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and three other Americans, the United States has now decided to temporarily withdraw more staff from its embassy in Libya's capital, Tripoli, for security reasons. The State Department said however, that it hopes to send them back early next week.
