BLOOMSBURY — The Board of Education will vote to decide whether it wants to continue sending students to Phillipsburg High School at a meeting tomorrow night.

The agenda for tomorrow night’s meeting includes a resolution “approving the filing of petition to sever send/receive relationship between the Bloomsbury Board of Education and the Phillipsburg Board of Education.”

The petition would seek state Department of Education approval for the change, would would be necessary before further action could be taken.

Some members of the school board and some residents are in favor of sending Bloomsbury’s students to a Hunterdon school, while others oppose the change. Last month, the Board of Education met with Delaware Valley Regional High School Board of Education to see if the high school would be a good fit for Bloomsbury’s students.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in Bloomsbury School’s All Purpose Room on 20 Main Street.
