Five Help

Can I restrict which programmes my children have access to?

Back to Help

Yes. If a programme has content that’s unsuitable for a younger audience, it’s given a G-Rating on Demand Five. 'G' stands for Guidance and each programme with this rating has a note explaining why the programme is rated in this way.

To view G-rated programmes you must first confirm you are over 16 years of age (or 18 years of age for some programmes).

GuidanceIf you want to block access to G-rated content for your children you can set up a PIN number by clicking on the padlock icon, or following the links when you confirm your age the first time.

Parental guidanceAny time you or your children try to view G-rated content on our website following the set up of the PIN number you’ll be prompted to enter it before the video can play.
