What is an RSS Feed?

An RSS Feed is a regular delivery of updated summaries of web content. The feed often consists of a headline, abbreviated summary and a link to the full version of the content. The “RSS” stands for Really Simple Syndication which is a type of format for a feed. Feeds are usually sent to a feed reader which lists the summaries in a single location, allowing the user to review new web content from a variety of sites in a single location.
