He's focused on becoming the president of the United States, the highest position you can get in politics. In fact, Obama has become the same way. Romney wants to be president, and Obama wants another term, and the corporate elite are their audience. It's a plutocracy, and has nothing to do with the interests of the people. Why do you think third party candidates get very little media coverage? It's because Romney and Obama were picked by the elite through funding.
That caused the middle class and the poor to suffer more, because a larger percentage of their income was taxed. It's the same with Romney. All he wants to do is become president, and he's a businessman. So, he's appealing to the wealthy class of people in the country to get what he wants, since they're the ones funding his campaign. But, he doesn't even consider what average people have to go through on a daily basis during a recession. He's never mentioned anything about them.
But I know what you're saying. What I meant was that they're only looking out for their own political ambitions that don't involve the welfare of the people. For instance, at the beginning of Obama's presidency, he wanted the Republicans and the Democrats to get along, but then he realized they wouldn't when it came to healthcare reform, so he became cynical, and decided to side with the Republicans and spend more money on the military, plunging the country further in debt.
This goes to show that celebrities in Hollywood are stupid. They only contributed to the Obama campaign not because it sounded like Obama had good plans for the country's debt reduction and job creation, which he doesn't, but because Hollywood has traditionally hated Republicans, and these celebrities are just following the trend since they don't want to look bad. Little do they know Obama and Romney are one in the same, politicians who look out for their own political interests.
