Baghdad (NINA) - Youth and Sports Minister, Jassem Mohammed Jaafar, headed the Iraqi delegation to the Conference of the General Assembly of the International Olympic Committee, which was held in the Russian Federation where the minster discussed the coordination relations between the governments and Olympic Committees and international sports federations.
The delegation included Chairman of the National Iraqi Olympic Committee Raad Hamoudi, Sirwan Ahmed Qadir, member of the Youth and Sports Committee in the Parliament, the Undersecretary for Sports, Esam Al Diwan, advisor to the Ministry Hassan Ali Karim, and Director General of the Scientific Care Department Ehsan Al Bayati.
On the other hand, the Minister and his accompanying delegation met a group of Iraqi students studying in the Russian Federation, in the presence of the cultural attaché of Iraq in Russia, Tu’ma Mateer. The minister listened to the discussions of the students who offered some of the problems of the school building and a shortage of supplies, as well as to discuss some of the proposals."
The minister instructed to provide sports facilities to the students at the school with all its stages; elementary, middle and secondary. The students will also be invited to participate in the Scientific Festival of Sovereignty, which will be held by the ministry next May.
It is worth mentioning that the Iraqi school in Moscow comprises 80 Iraqi students in elementary, middle, and secondary stages, the teachers there are Iraqis. /End/
