WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT Cairo based photographer Asmaa Waguih spent three weeks with the Free Syrian Army during street fighting to end the siege of Harem, which began in mid-October. This week, troops loyal to President Bashar al-Assad were holding out in the mediaeval citadel after the rebels, working methodically, had driven them from most of the town in bitter street fighting. Sniper fire and air strikes continued to take a toll on the rebels who, in reply, offered little quarter to some loyalist prisoners, at least one of whom journalists saw shot dead.
