Italian technician, two others kidnapped in Syria

PanARMENIAN.Net - Italy's government says an Italian technician and two other employees at a Syrian steel plant have been kidnapped, The Associated Press reports.
A statement from Italy's foreign ministry says the abductions took place near the Syrian town of Latakia, but didn't say when or by whom.
Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi said Monday, Dec 17, the two workers kidnapped along with the Italian have different nationalities but did not identify them.
The Italian news agency ANSA said the Italian who was abducted is an engineer.
Olivia Culpo beat out 88 other beauty queens to take the title from Leila Lopes of Angola during the two-hour competition.
The talks are separate from but linked to broader diplomacy by six world powers to resolve the nuclear row.
The U.S. president has previously stated his support for the reintroduction of an assault weapons ban, which lapsed in 2004.
"The Islamic Republic will not stop 20-percent uranium enrichment at the demands of other countries," Abbasi said.
If Assad is forced to step down, this will do no good to either Syria or the West, in the first place.
