A Cairo court struck down lawsuits against actress Ilham Shaheen on Thursday.

Over 45 plaintiffs had filed legal challenges against Shaheen accusing her of promoting immorality through her films.

The plaintiffs had presented images they considered inappropriate of the actress to the court to support their claims.

Two weeks ago, a court sentenced Azhar Professor Abdullah Badr to one year in prison with labor and a fine of 20, 000 Egyptian pounds for slandering Shaheen.
