Syria’s Rebels Form Their Own Secret Police Force
Military Defectors Join Group Styled After Regime's Feared 'Mukhabarat'
Accused of a litany of abuses and “disappearances” of dissidents, Syria’s secret police, the “Mukhabarat,” has a feared reputation and one that has only gotten worse as the nation falls deeper into civil war.
But the Syrian civilians just trying to live their lives and survive this war now have more than one Mukhabarat to worry about, as the Syrian rebels have announced the creation of their own version, styled after the regime’s force, aimed at “protecting the revolution.”
The new secret police are recruited from much the same segment of the population as the existing one, with rebels saying that they are mostly defected spies and military officers.
While rebels are emphasizing their secret police intelligence gathering operations, the rebels’ own sketchy history of human rights violations sets this up as a group that is almost certain to persecute the religious minorities seen as opposed to the rebellion.

So the media, congress, and the federal government are pushing for involvement in the Syrian civil war to replace an authoritarian secular government with an authoritarian religious government. How do the ordinary Syrians benefit–instead of looking over their shoulder for Asad's police, they now look over their shoulder for Salafist police. Those who are backing a greater involvement in this conflict have other motives than the "welfare" of the Syrian people. The destruction and death that has resulted from backing the rebels is far worse than if we had just let the situation remain as before.

Mukhabarat is Syrian verion of Kosovo's "horseshoe" operation. It is an invention. Now, why would the rebels form their own :"police", since they already do whatever they want with people? The only reason is propaganda. See, we are really good and organized, we will "protect' the people. After we have tought their ten year olds how to behead an unfortunate man to serve as a training material for beheading school.
Disguisting.

Just how little people are told, by our complicit congress critters and a poodle press, about our supporting "terror". Need we be reminded that its "Mr. Nobel Peace Prize" who is aiding these rat bastards.
