The old building hosts a Teochew family selling not only dim sum, but also some fried and noodle dishes . Taste-wise some said this shop is better. To purchase Chai Koay in large quantity, make sure to reserve one day ahead first.

Ong Cheng Huat Seafood is famous with its baby chicken and steamed fish (and coconut rum) in which customers from far are thrilled for a visit . They have limited menu items but in turn provide fast serving. Only operating in the afternoon, make sure you arrive early to avoid any disappointment.

Despite of above-average price due to the use of organic and better ingredient, the low profile Journey2Life has its own food quality and specialities. In 9th lunar month, the restaurant is opened daily from Oct-15 til Oct-24 with special Nine Emperor Gods FULLY VEGAN menu.

Other than Tambun, Pantai Bersih is another great place for seafood and sunset at mainland. Due to great number of seafood restaurants there, one may have hard time deciding which restaurant to go. We gave our “first time” at Pantai Bersih to Lobster Village and surprisingly it was an enjoyable moment. The price is acceptable for us. Use Sungai Dua to Raja Uda road to avoid bloodsucking toll.

If you are looking for a clean yet affordable Chinese restaurant in Georgetown, do pay Hing Kee/Heng Kee a visit. The food is more toward home-cook style and presentation can be average. We are surprised with their cleanliness considering it is an old shop. Seats can be limited. Remember to try their Kang Kong with Shrimp Sauce.
