15/01/2013 23:28:00

Saying it is now the time to enter Libya, AOC, part of Taiwan-based TPV Technology Limited, and the largest display manufacturer in the world today announced Monday the appointment of the Libyan IT company, Estishari for Computer Services, as the authorised distributors for its wide range of AOC LCD/LED monitors in Libya.

Sameh Gamal - Business Development Manager for AOC in Middle East said: “We have been negotiating with Estishari and studied the Libyan market for quite some time now. We believe with positive developments in Libya it is a right time for us to enter this important market in the region.”

We are confident that with our distribution channel base and our advance infrastructure will play a key role in increasing the presence AOC brand in Libya.”

With the appointment of Estishari for Computer Services, AOC continued its march to increase its presence across Middle East Africa region to become the most dominant monitor brand in the region.
Comment:
Libya as important market, unless you deal with rebels and stolen money, we do not see any logic, and security why some business people would bring themselves to die in Libya over money?.
Comment:
Apart from foreign media exaggeration about the security situation in Libya, the country remains more secure and peaceful than any part a larger city such as New York or Los Angeles in America. Comparing percentage of violence in major world cities the whole of Libya remains way below these cities and more safe.
Comment:
@ Ali al Ajeel, what have you been smoking man?. Tripoli today is rated the #4 dangerous city in the world, on average with Libya has 1020 daily deaths and over 1600 injuries and wounded per day, compared to the 7.5 million population of Libya, 1 million plus internal displaced people, 1.3 million refugees outside Libya, if that is not sickening, what is it?. The great part is, news suppression, daily prisoner executions and hangings, coupled with hipocracy of the highest order with thieves running all over the street with weapons, if it's not one of the most notorious mortuary palaces in the world, what is it?. We've seen enough hipocracy and do understand what it entails with political pundits and spin masters, kill yourselves, the west will come to bury all of you alive and take the oil wells. As the french said, Libyans are the dumbest people of 2011 to have deposed Algathaffi. Low life Arabs with a life of a hipocratic religious monster, knife and AK-47 killer, we watch all the killings that you retards do every day in Misrata, Zentan, Benghazi, streets of Tripoli, and the South of Libya. We know what death squads do, Newyork looks as city of angels compared to Libya.
Comment:
Every body that follows independent media, knows Libya is the militia and mercenary death capital of the world, for any person to do business in that country, they must eith have no any other option, desperate wanting to die, delusional, psychopath, internation war profiteer as NATO, Sarkozy, Henry Benard Levy or the likes of cut throats, and death merchant Qatar. The pictures taken by private satelite groups show militia killing, cutting ordinary people alive and shooting Qadhaffi soldiers without trial, what type of insane nation is that?. Keep the oil, we do not need it, plenty of hydro carbon in the world, spent the savings Libyans worked for the past 42 years, welcome to world of ignorance, hipocracy and destitution.
Comment:
It seems that many of what I call "Risk-takers" countries are doing greater than western competitors. There are various reasons to stress this such as security, stability, decision making process etc.

This led to less than anticipated approach from know-how, technical, expert western companies to expand into the Libyan market at least for now.

However, we are hopeful that the situation will improve in the coming months
