Baghdad (NINA) – Vice President Khoda'yir al-Khuza'e called on the government of Lebanon to abolish entrance visa requirement for Iraqis and facilitate travellers' entrance requirements between the two countries, as well as to increase the number of scholarships between Iraq and Lebanon, in the interest of both countries.
A statement issued by the Presidency on Thursday, Feb. 7, said that Khuza'e discussed during his meeting with Lebanese Ambassador to Iraq, Haza' Shareef, the relations between Iraq and Lebanon and means to develop them, as well as a number of issues of common interest.
The Vice President praised the level of relations between Baghdad and Beirut, calling on Lebanese firms to invest in Iraq and exchange of expertise; clarifying that Iraq's market is witnessing economic growth.
For his part, Ambassador Shareef expressed his country's keenness to develop its relations with Iraq, praising Iraq's support to Arab and Islamic issues. / End.
