G is for Gorey, American artist known for his macabre, often nonsensical illustrations and books like "The Gashlycrumb Tinies" and "The Doubtful Guest."

is it not the thing to do -- I don't know thus the question:
how might I get one of Google's doodle as desktop (gif or other animated graphic format available) the Google doodle of Copernicus' model of the universe?  still no reply from +Google, on this.

Huge Gorey fan. Thanks for the reminder of his macabre sense of humor.

Brilliant art -- they finally got me to search out a way to compliment them on it, and I had to join up and give them my shoe size practically.  Amazing things over the years...wish they would let us "like" them right under the logo.

Who is Edward Gorey? I was far to busy celebrating the birthday of Lord Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden-Powell, founder of Scouting, the largest and greatest youth movement in the world, who was born on February 22nd 1857!
