"The Friday of One Demand"
Tens of thousands of protesters gathered in Cairo's Tahrir Square on November 18 in an attempt to pressure the country's military leadership to quickly hand over power to a civilian government.

The protest, which sprang from the government's proposal of a "supraconstitutional principles" document that would enshrine military power, was powered by large, well-organised Islamist movements, most prominently including the Muslim Brotherhood.
