Egypt's "Friday of One Demand" |
Tens of thousands of protesters gathered
in Cairo's Tahrir Square on November 18
in an attempt to pressure the country's
military leadership to quickly hand over
power to a civilian government.
The protest, which sprang from the government's proposal of a "supraconstitutional principles" document that would enshrine military power, was powered by large, well-organised Islamist movements, most prominently including the Muslim Brotherhood.
