Iconic Brazilian musician Gilberto Gil was joined on stage Thursday briefly by his student Dina El-Wadidi. Ahram Online offers snippets from their time together on stage at the festival.

Legendary Brazilian musician Gilberto Gil gave an unforgettable performance on Thursday 21 March at the Cairo Jazz Festival.

He was joined on stage briefly by Egyptian emerging singer Dina El-Wadidi, an Egyptian artist he has been mentoring for a year as part of the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative.
