Foreign Minister meets with U.S. President, National Security Adviser

Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal was received by U.S. National Security Adviser Tom Donilon in Washington, D.C. yesterday. In a statement issued last night, U.S. National Security Council Spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden said that President Barack Obama joined the meeting. According to the statement, President Obama and Prince Saud reaffirmed the strong partnership between the United States and the Kingdom and discussed developments in the region, including the conflict in Syria.

Prince Saud offered condolences to President Obama for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings. For his part, President Obama asked the Saudi Foreign Minister to convey his best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
