Iraqi tribes on Friday (April 26th) signed a document prohibiting sectarian fighting and naming al-Qaeda as the common enemy of Iraqis of all sects, said the Unified Council of Iraqi Tribes.

"The council held an emergency meeting Friday morning in the capital, Baghdad, in the presence of more than two thirds of its members, and signed a document binding all the main tribes in Iraq," council spokesman Sheikh Mitaab al-Jarrah told Al-Shorfa.

The 136 tribes attending agreed to "incriminate sectarian fighting among Iraqis, to abide by tribal pledges rather than sectarian affiliation, and to prevent attacks targeting army personnel or policemen or facilitating their being targeted", he said.

The agreement, which also states that al-Qaeda is an enemy of all Iraqis that must be eliminated, has been submitted to tribes across Iraqi provinces to be approved as an official document, he said.

The signing came as nine civilians, including three children, were killed and 56 wounded -- 18 seriously -- in four blasts that targeted mosques across Baghdad, according to the Iraqi Interior Ministry.

"An improvised explosive device (IED) was remotely detonated at the entrance of al-Kubaisi mosque in al-Shorta al-Rabiah neighbourhood of western Baghdad as worshippers attended Friday prayers," said Col. Hikmat Mahmoud al-Masari, director of media and relations at the ministry.

The other three explosions targeted al-Ashtar mosque and Yousef mosque in al-Shaab neighbourhood, eastern Baghdad, and al-Rashidiya mosque to the north, he told Al-Shorfa.

I am worried that this could be nonsense and that the tribes resume the attacks on the police and army, which would lead to the outbreak of a denomination war. The agreement could be canceled so soon. The situation in Iraq as a whole, not only between the clans makes us rather concerned about the future of the country. Iraq is now on hot tin. I hope that the tribes took this initiative to appease the overwhelming violence. We pray Allah to make the initiative serve the interests of the country. This agreement will mark the beginning of the cooperation between the Iraqis to put an end to terrorism.

Let us arguably admit that we name our sons “Ali” out of sectarianism. Indeed, we are proud of being sectarian. Wish you the same! Forget about sectarianism and return to Iraq which was free from the influence of Iran and the mercenaries. Otherwise… However much you could be armed, you are a small community in a bigger nation. Avoid arrogance and do not hasten so that your children could live in peace.

We really miss the days of Saddam, may Allah bless him. Perhaps the tribes will restore the former glory of Iraq which used to crush Persians, although they were 800 members. May Allah grant the Anbar Tribe victory. They should restore Iraq to its people and expel Persians and the disbelievers from it. O Iraqis! In the pure land of Iraq, there are Sunnis and Shiites but not the Majous of Kisra who have changed their beliefs and manipulated the people of Shiites. May Allah bless Omar Ibn Al Khattab who shakes them when they hear his name although he is dead. Hallelujah.

In denouncing sectarian conflicts, Iraqi tribes predict a possible harmony between communities for the sake of Iraq and facing terrorism. If all people take the decision to face terrorism, we will eradicate al-Qaeda in Iraq once and for all and ensure the solidarity between the tribes. In fact, no one could deny the strength of tribes in terms of weapons, ammunition, deployment and number. Allah has granted them more goodness and they have improved the strength of Iraq.

The truth is that al-Qaeda is actually the enemy of all Iraqis including civilians, armed men and their tribes. All of them are the enemies of Iraqis. In signing this document that condemns the terrorists of al-Qaeda and confirms that they are the enemies of all Iraqi sects, the Iraqi tribes have proven their patriotism. In fact, the best thing that delighted me was the common brotherhood to criminalize the sectarian conflicts between Iraqis so that the hopes of unity to hold out will increase against terrorists, may Allah damn them.

We all know well that all parties try to keep away from any sectarian war now. However, we see conflicts between Iraqis that may lead to sectarian war. We also think that the serious document that was concluded by the Iraqi tribes initially is a good step. We must pay extra attention to the efforts to avoid the sectarian fight in Iraq, so that the Iraqi people survive and so that we can keep away from offenses.

We have to adopt federalism and we congratulate the governorates of Anbar, salah Ad-Din, Al-Huwiajah, and Mosul for their monotony and we will protect your borders. As for the central and southern Iraqi governorates, we also should think about the federalism to be like the Kurds. When this happens, they will come back to their senses and we will solve the problem without blood or suffering.

We all must understand that our joint enemy in Iraq is Al-Qaeda. The only enemy of the Iraqis is Al-Qaeda, which is responsible for all the chaos that affects our lives. Therefore, the Iraqi tribes signed this document to get rid of the crimes of Al-Qaeda, which is everywhere in Iraq. We need to understand the situation well to avoid any worse developments in Iraq. We wish that the rest of the tribes would also sign this document.

It is said that the people of Makkah are more aware of its routes. I am Iraqi and I know the causes behind breaking into the square where the sit-in was organized. The causes are sectarian 100% because any reasonable person knows that the pretexts of the government are mere lies. We know that the ruling party (Da’wah) is loyal to Iran and the so-called Khomeini’s Revolution. The role of this party during the Iraqi-Iranian war was known because it carried acts of vandalism inside Iraq for the benefit of Iran. Hence, it is a pure Iranian party, but unfortunately, it rules Iraq today.

All Iraqis must address terrorism in Iraq wherever it is found because we know that these terrorists want to destroy Iraq and humiliate it and we never imagine these incidents to continue on this matter, but Iraqis affairs must be improved and terrorist must be arrested and presented to judiciary in Mosel because they committed many terrorist crimes because many victims fell martyrs due to these hateful crimes which were committed by them, how many crimes bled and are still bleeding and can't find who treats and cures them. Where the human rights, thus arresting these terrorists are is the right solution because there are many Iraqi victims who died and became nothing now. There must be law to assures death sentence for all who are involved in terrorist crimes because we don't want them to kill Iraqis and we want the just fair judiciary uses its procedures for justice for the human justice which was lost on roads in Iraq and nobody could find it till now, but lost there is no trace of it.

This is reality in Iraq and we must consider it far from dreams and emotions and we should be realistic. Shiites support El Malekie, and Sunnis support Nejeifi, Kurds support Barazani and we can't ask any part to abandon its candidate. We need citizenship and justice far from sectarianism and racism and no problem with good neighboring relations with Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Iran, we don't need more wars and when we agree together all neighboring countries will respect us and will not interfere even we entered a civil war and burnt the country, the result is no winner and no loser and your fate is to dialogue because no part will give up its rights.

O God! O God and God! Since El Maliki ruled he proved that he is criminal, he came by orders from America and support from Iraq to kill these innocent people. I have a question to all Iraqis, I am not Baathist nor I am with them, but my question is: Was Iraq ruled by the Baathist party and El Maliki was boasting that he destroyed the Baathist party, and used to hear from him that this part was so and so? My question is why is El Maliki supporting the Syrian Baathist party and one of its biggest fans? Isn't the same founder Michael Aflaq? I need an answer.

The Iraqi people can no longer tolerate any further destruction. This is because the current conditions prevailing in Iraq are a precursor for a further terrorist expansion in the region. In my opinion, what Iraqi people are undergoing must come to an end because any further terrorist expansion in the region will indeed increase the number of terrorist crimes. The Iraqi people have had a bitter experience due to the current events in Iraq, and Iraq can never continue in this situation. Instead, the current Iraqi government is supposed to grant all people the opportunity to tackle terrorism, and it should also commit itself publicly to tackling what is happening. I truly hope that terrorism will be tackled in a practical manner because we don’t want any of these acts of terrorism at all since they could jeopardize the future of Iraq. Also, we don’t think that the Iraqi people want any of these terrorist operations, and thus it is necessary to eliminate terrorism no matter how long that takes.

O you government of terrorism stop slaughtering these people who tasted bitterness since the last 35 years during the Baathist rule and 10 years of Safavian rule! Stop your terrorism and give people what they deserve of good life with dignity! Let Iraq catch technology, my dear commentators, please stay away from sectarianism; we Iraqis are brothers, Sunnis and Shiites and there is no difference between us; the government of Safavians spread this division between us and we are ignorant; Iraq is for all Iraqis and religion is for God Almighty.

Everyone knows that Iraq is the country of civilization and the productive cultured people throughout the ages, therefore Iraq will suffer bitterness because there are regional countries don't want Iraq to stabilize. For instance, Saudi Arabia feels the economic threat, Turkey feels the regional power of Iraq, which means it will be opponent to some Turkish foreign Affairs, particularly that this was proven by Iran and the constituents of Iraq is similar to Iran, Israel, the biggest disaster in the region doesn't want another dagger like the Syrian dagger that supports resistance and will seek with its allies to divide the countries into estates or sects to weaken them.

Iraqis don't forget what the Baathist nationals and the military officers had done to them! They don't forget what was done to them by Odai and their assault on Iraqis. Today the Baathists and Saddamis talk in the name of Islam; we will not be deceived by your tricks because I see many supporters here while I criticize al–Malekie. Even al-Malekie doesn't reach the level of the crimes of Baathist and nationals. The mountains of Kurdistan will never kneel to them; we will defeat them, God willing.

There is no power but from Almighty God of the Worlds! O God we ask you for forgiveness, so forgive us and save us from the tyrant people; my God you look at your worshipper Muslims in Iraq; my God we can't bear this so be merciful to us and make us victorious over the infidels; O God save us, o God save us, O God save us and save our country from discord and from oppressors. O God of the Worlds, we appeal and beg you and ask your tolerance and forgiveness. O God we complain to you from Iran and the Jews. O my God (…) save us from them, you are the most merciful of all. O God O God O God.

The bombing of a Sunni mosque and a Hassania at the same time shows that these acts are committed by one side that aims to ignite sectarian strife among Iraqis; so Iraqis must be aware and stand together, Sunni and Shiites, one hand against those who are not humanitarian in hearts, these criminals who ravaged the land of Mesopotamia with corruption and destruction.
