4/24/13 Justin Raimondo

Info

Antiwar.com editorial director Justin Raimondo discusses why he thinks the (don’t say “alleged”) Boston Marathon bombers had foreign help; the neoconservative link to Chechen jihadists; the bogus “safe haven” rationale for fighting the war on terror; the bipartisan coalition of political heavyweights that lobbied for Chechen Ilyas Akmadov’s asylum – over DHS security concerns; more information-sharing problems between government agencies despite post-9/11 fixes; ending all immigration to prevent terrorist blowback; and the return of “Old Right” antiwar conservatives in the US.

  • Pauls & TP would be pipsqueaks if they didn’t have Koch’s gagillions behind them.

    • eCAHNomics, the Koch’s despise the Pauls, particularly Ron. The Koch’s aren’t the Pauls benefactor.
The Tea Party is another story. Your argument is invalid.

    • The Kochs have done their best to destroy and marginalize Ron Paul, Lew Rockwell, and the Mises Institute. Of course, they failed miserably. Your post is completely ignorant and a few minutes on Google would make you embarrassed to post such nonsense.

The reason Ron is attacked at least as bad, if not worse, by the neo-cons in the media and in the GOP than the leftists in the media is precisely bc of people like the Koch brothers.

  • End all immigration? And all visits to the US from non-citizens, too?

Definitely pro-Russian government view of Chechnya… I know antiwar has become a mouthpiece for Putin propaganda, but read some of what Anna Politkovskaya wrote about Russian behavior in Chechnya (before she was murdered).

    • You mean the women who received most of her information from NED funded sources whose foreign minister is on there payroll, attended pro-Chechen separatist event with the leadership and never visited the region once during there independence period from 97-99?

As for who or why she was murdered at the time she did die the situation in the region was improving because the leadership during the 2005/06 period was mostly killed in anti-terrorist operations.

  • Launch On Warning by 2017. Missile engineer Bob Aldridge-www.plrc.org-on European Phased Adaptive Approach (EPAA), the missiles on 32 ships, in Romania by 2015 and more advanced in Poland by 2018: “Whether they are on ships or land, they are still a necessary component for an unanswerable first strike.” Professor J. Ed Anderson: “Deployment of anti-missile missiles in Eastern Europe is part of a first-strike strategy”. The missiles will be deployed by 2018 and result in Launch On Warning by 2017. • There is humanitarian imperialism at work as well involving operating “our terrorists”. See this excerpt from “Sourcewatch” page about Amnesty International and it’s being in bed with neo-con groups and individuals: http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php/Amnesty_International

    Odd Bedfellows

On 10 December 2003, AI co-hosted the following event:

Catastrophe in Chechnya: Escaping the Quagmire
With nearly 250 persons in attendance and presentations by Zbigniew Brzezinski and Ruud Lubbers, the conference was the largest event of its kind dedicated solely to Chechnya to be held in Washington DC.
Hosted by the American Enterprise Institute and co-sponsored by The American Committee for Peace in Chechnya, Amnesty International USA, Freedom House, the Jamestown Foundation, and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, this event promises to be of great potential significance in articulating a new American attitude toward Russo-Chechen conflict.

Why is AI co-sponsoring this event? NB: all the other co-sponsors are right-wing and dubious organizations.[13]
