Iraq: Kurdish Forces Bear Brunt of Attacks That Leave 46 Dead, 92 Wounded
Today’s Iraq violence focused on Kurdish Peshmerga fighters. These security forces are used in predominantly Kurdish regions in northern Iraq. In contested areas their presence, at times, has caused tension between themselves and other security forces.
In Kirkuk, a suicide bombing at a Patriotic Union of Kurdistan office left one dead and 40 wounded, mostly Peshmerga. A separate suicide car bomber attacked a Kurdish security checkpoint, where he killed one Peshmerga member and wounded 13 more.
In Baghdad, a bomb on a minibus killed three people and wounded eight more. A cab driver was shot dead in Jamiaa. Three people were wounded in a blast in Shula.
A bomb at a market in Tikrit killed six people. When first responders arrived, a second bomb killed four more people and wounded five others.
Gunmen killed three policemen and wounded two others in a drive-by shooting at a Falluja checkpoint; also, one gunman was killed and another was wounded.
A suicide bomber killed four people at a carpenter’s workshop in Mosul. A suicide bomber targeting police killed two people and wounded three more. A policeman was gun downed.
One Peshmerga was killed and another wounded in a suicide attack on their checkpoint in Tuz Khormato.
Two Peshmerga were killed and seven more were wounded in an attack on a base in Duquq.
In Abu Ghraib, two people were killed and three more were wounded when a bomb
A roadside bomb in Qara Tapa killed a soldier and wounded three more exploded after morning prayers. A civilian was killed and three more were wounded in another explosion.
In Khanaqin, a bomb at a mosque killed a worshipper. Two soldiers were killed when a bomb exploded.
A bomb attached to a minibus killed three people in Taji.

Well at least we got rid of Saddam and brought peace to Iraq for a little while . Seems like Kurds are in Iraq , Turkey , Iran ,Syria and even Israel . also seems like they are always being attackt evrey where , accept I don't recall Israel fighting with their muslim Kurds ever , whats wrong with the muslim Kurds .. Could it be they have no country of their own ?
