Desk Copy Policy for Professors

NYU Press offers desk copies free of charge to professors who have adopted a text as required reading for a course. To obtain a desk copy, please submit your request on academic letterhead, and provide us with your name, shipping address, contact telephone number or email, course name and season, enrollment, and the name of the bookstore that has ordered the text.

Examination Copy Policy for Professors

NYU Press has recently simplified its examination copy policy.

Up to three paperback editions of NYU Press titles per semester will be available to professors at a cost of only $6.00 per book to cover shipping and handling, regardless of the price of the book.

To obtain an examination copy of a paperback edition, please find the book's listing on this website, and select "purchase exam copy."  Then, when prompted, fill in your name, shipping address, contact telephone number or email, course name and season, and anticipated enrollment. You can then follow the normal checkout procedure.  If we cannot verify your information, the order will be cancelled and you will not be charged.

Examination copies of some hardcover books are available at a 30% discount. If you are interested in a hardcover edition, please call 1-800-996-6987 for confirmation of price and availability.
