The Syrian army destroyed an Israeli armoured vehicle that violated the country's border, Syrian agency SANA reported on Tuesday with reference to the Armed Forces Command.
According to the agency, the incident occurred in the territory of Syrian village of Beer Ajam.
Recently, the situation on the border between Israel and Syria has become strained, Israeli media outlets reported. According to reports, the Syrian side periodically violates the ceasefire on the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights.
