It's the end of May, and to many people around the world, that signals weekends filled with graduations and weddings. People are searching for the best presents for those reaching these milestones. When it comes to weddings, one woman's gift is making waves around the Web.

As reported by Gay Star News, 72-year-old Sherri Gray, from Nashville, Tennessee, wrote and recorded a support song as a gift to her niece Shannon and her fiancée, Lisa, for their upcoming wedding. Gray uploaded a video of her singing the song to YouTube. While playing the piano and sporting a T-shirt that reads, "Straight But Not Narrow," she belts out the tune, "What If We Are Just Like You? (Shannon and Lisa's Song)." "The world will bless the wedding of a woman to a man. While he and he and she and she are told they never can. We laugh, we cry, we die and live. We try to fit. We work. We give. We have a goal. We have a soul."

In the description of the video, Gray wrote, "I wrote this song about equal rights

    • Traveling across the country or the world via any modern mode of transportation is a time-consuming affair. It can also be really annoying with the long lines, crying babies, armrest hogs, cramped space, etc. Would it not be the most awesome invention ever if some new type of transportation could cut that travel time significantly?

Get ready, because it may only be a few years from becoming a reality. A company called ET3 has plans in the works for the Evacuated Tube Transport, a high-speed transportation tube that uses magnetic levitation. The ETT can travel at speeds of up to 4,000 miles per hour, and each tube seats a maximum of six people and comes with a baggage compartment. How does it go so fast? It's airless and frictionless and could have you from New York to Los Angeles in 45 minutes, as opposed to the nearly five hours a direct flight would take. It could even have you depart from New York and be in Beijing in two hours.

The tubes would be set up like freeways to prevent

    • Honestly, even though my job is to follow social media trends, sometimes it's hard for me to keep up with the ever-changing world of memes. Surely by now you've heard all about everything from planking to Tebowing, and, of course, cat bearding. Well, hot off the presses, there's another new meme to try: baby mugging.

Now before you go getting all angry with me, let me explain what it is. Baby mugging participants take pictures that make it look like their babies are sticking out of a coffee mug. Obviously, the precious little tots aren't actually in coffee mugs. (First, they wouldn't fit, and second, that would just be weird.)

The new trend was the brainchild of Ilana Wiles, a mommy blogger who featured her own little one on her blog, Mommy Shorts. The optical illusion plays with depth perception.

Fans of the trend started uploading their own mug shots of their babies to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. And the trend isn't only in the United States. Parents across the pond, too, have

In order to get the resources, you turn to crowd funding, and thanks to the growing popularity of the nonprofit company Kickstarter, your dream can turn into reality.

Kickstarter is a private company that began in 2009 as a creative way to help people raise money online. The site has become the place to fund your dream project.

Comedian Jon Lajoie, who is recognizable from his popular YouTube videos and his role on TV's "The League," does not have any intention of helping anyone else through his Kickstarter project. Yes, he is looking out only for No. 1: himself.

Here's what he says in part of his self-flattering pitch: "What if instead of relying on traditional methods of wealth acquisition, I turned to you, my fans, for money?" He continues, "Sir Lajoie, you are the most amazing person I know. Why are you not superrich yet?

    • Admit it, all you "Star War" fans out there. If you could get your hands on a real-life lightsaber, you would go for it, right? It just might be the holy grail for the biggest of "Star Wars" enthusiasts, and one man claims to have created it.

In a YouTube video that is causing quite a stir throughout the galaxy, user "The DIY Laser Guy" demonstrates his "handheld laser" cutting through objects such as paper, cardboard, tape and a pingpong ball. The blue laser itself is 3,000 milliwatts, which the laser guy says is the strongest he has ever used. He writes in the video's description, "I usually try to refrain from using the term 'lightsaber' when referring to my lasers but there really isn't much else out there to describe this laser." He also notes that owning a lightsaber is legal in the U.S.

The video is proving to be a hit, with more than 330,000 views and counting so far. Some commenters were thrilled by this potential light sword. One person was particularly enthusiastic and
