Founded in 1995 as a private media outlet in Azerbaijan, Trend News Agency is a leading news provider in the Caucasus, Caspian region and the Central Asia.

Moody’s International certified Trend and recognized Agency's quality management system as meeting ISO 9001 – 2008 requirements.

The Agency has established Trend Expert Council, which brings together about 40 well-known independent experts from the countries of region and West.

In 2010, Trend was admitted to the membership of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA).

Trend was recognized "The Best News Company" in 2006-2007 in Azerbaijan.

Furthermore, Trend News Agency was awarded the Brand Award Azerbaijan-2008 in the nomination of Agency of Exclusive Information of the Year.

Trend News Agency has five news services - Azerbaijani, English, Russian, Arabic and Persian. The services provide news of countries and regions by placing more focus on ongoing events in languages appropriate to the specific audiences.

Trend offers photos, covering the latest news about current affairs and main political, business, sports and cultural events. The Agency has an extensive photo archive.

According to Google Analytics, 4.755 million users visited www.trend.az in 2011. Page views exceeded 28.788 million, which is 53 percent higher than in 2010.

Trend News Agency has introduced TrendMobile application, which can be installed free on your iPhone smartphone or iPad tablet through the App Store. By installing TrendMobile, you will have a permanent online access to major economic and political news of the Caucasus, the Caspian Sea region and Central Asia, the daily specialized research and event photos. Trend has introduced an electronic news sales system, which has greatly facilitated and simplified users’ access to the company's paid content materials. With the help of a plastic card, you can pay for access to information on the agency's website according to your needs. Visa and Master Card can be used to make these purchases.

For the convenience of users who want urgent access to Trend’s news, the company has also introduced a system of selling products via mobile phone. If you have not subscribed to any news and want to read the information with limited access on our site, you can do so by sending a paid SMS from your mobile phone. This innovation will allow you to read materials with limited access in over 60 countries worldwide.
