Azerbaijan, Morocco discuss prospects of cultural cooperation

A meeting between the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfas Garayev and the Minister of Culture of Morocco Mohammed Amini Sabuhi took place in the framework of the Second World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue held in Baku.

A meeting between the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfas Garayev and the Minister of Culture of Morocco Mohammed Amini Sabuhi took place in the framework of the Second World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue held in Baku.

During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in the cultural sector and prospects for its development.

As a result of the visit, cultural ties between the two countries will grow further, Garayev said, adding that the visit of his Moroccan counterpart to Azerbaijan will be successful and fruitful.

In turn, the Moroccan Minister thanked the forum for inviting him noting that the event is an indication of the attention paid to the convergence of cultures.

"Morocco believes that intercultural dialogue is a path leading to other cultures, and holding such events is very important. It is vital that the people become acquainted with other cultures and familiarity with the culture of Azerbaijan is very important for Morocco," the guest said.

The Moroccan Minister said his country is interested in using the experience of Azerbaijan in the sphere of culture and stressed there are great opportunities for expansion of cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Morocco. He invited Garaev to visit Morocco.

Garaev thanked the minister for the invitation and said he will participate in the delegation to attend the next Azerbaijani Culture event to be held in Morocco.
