Richard Price CEO
Richard did a Ph.D at Oxford in philosophy, where he was a Fellow of All Souls College. His thesis was in the philosophy of perception. Prior to that, he did a BA at Oxford in philosophy, politics, and economics.
Ben Lund CTO
Ben studied Biological Anthropology at the University of Cambridge. Before joining Academia.edu, Ben worked for Nature and as a freelance web developer building web applications for researchers and medics.
Ryan Fitzgerald Engineer
Ryan joined Academia.edu in September 2010 and works on building features and infrastructure.
Erin Fox User Operations
Erin graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and a minor in English Literature from Sonoma State University. She loves animals, wine, and helping Academia users with all their questions!
David Judd Engineer
David majored in Computer Science at Columbia and then worked for Yodle in New York before joining Academia.edu in October 2012.
Courtney Quirin Science Writer
After wrapping up a MSc in Wildlife Management at the University of Otago, NZ, where she studied farmer-primate conflict in the Ethiopian highlands, Courtney pursued a PhD in wildlife sciences studying urban coyotes. However, it didn't take long for Courtney to realize her true passions lie in science communications (as well as running and biking in gorgeous landscapes), which landed her in San Francisco as a science and environmental writer.
Russell Harmon Engineer
Russell is currently finishing is MS in Computer Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology. In addition to his graduate studies and work at Academia, he also has a passion in networking, kernel hacking and programming languages.
Stacey Touset Engineer
Stacey recently finished a MS in mathematics at Georgia Tech and attended New College of Florida for undergrad. In addition to technological things, she's obsessed with botany and Russian lit.
