Managing Your Kindle SubscriptionsStarting a Kindle SubscriptionTo start a new Kindle subscription to a magazine, newspaper, or blog from the Kindle Store at Amazon.com, click Subscribe now with 1-Click. All subscriptions include at least a 14-day free period. You can cancel at any time during your free period, and you will not be charged. If you don't cancel within the free period, your subscription will continue at the regular price using your payment method on record. Notes:
Items Available by SubscriptionSubscriptions to the Kindle edition of magazines, newspapers, and blogs are available for most Kindle devices and supported Kindle reading applications. There are some differences in availability. Click the "Available only on these devices" link on the product detail page for a magazine to see which Kindle devices and apps you can read it on. Magazines and newspapers in text viewText view allows you to navigate articles easily with the same reading experience as Kindle books. Most Kindle subscriptions are available in text view. Magazines in page viewIn page view, magazines look just like the pages of the printed edition of the magazine. You can flip through the magazine in either portrait or landscape mode. Most magazines are available in page view on supported Kindle devices and Kindle reading applications. Special access for some Kindle newspaper subscribersYour subscription to the Kindle edition of The New Yorker, The New York Times or The Wall Street Journal also grants you additional access to these publications. Learn more about special access for Kindle subscribers. BlogsWhen you subscribe to a blog through your Kindle device, the blog will display as a single entry like a book. When you sync your device to check for new items, your Kindle will download the complete feed so you can read your blogs offline. Notes:
Delivery of SubscriptionsFrequency of deliveryKindle subscription content will be automatically delivered to your Kindle device or supported Kindle reading application as soon as it's published in digital format. To automatically receive your subscription content, your device must be within the wireless service area and be connected wirelessly. To transfer a subscription for delivery of future issues from one Kindle device or app to another, see Transferring Kindle subscriptions. Check the product detail page in the Kindle Store for information about frequency of delivery. Delivery outside the wireless service areaIf you can’t connect wirelessly or are traveling internationally, your subscriptions can’t be delivered automatically. However, any Kindle content you purchase on Amazon.com, including recent issues of subscriptions, is accessible through Manage Your Kindle. You can download files to a computer and then transfer them your Kindle device via USB connection. When you reactivate a subscription, you may also want to verify that the payment method associated with that subscription is current. Once you cancel a subscription, you will stop receiving new issues immediately and you will no longer be able to re-download back issues. Do not sign up for a subscription with a debit card. Also known as a "check" or "ATM" card, a debit card typically has the word "debit" printed on the face of the card. We will charge the credit card listed in Manage Your Kindle. If we cannot successfully charge this credit card, we will use the credit card you gave us when you originally placed your order. If we cannot successfully charge that credit card, we'll use another credit card you have saved in your Amazon.com account. Your initial sign-up is an authorization for us to use the preferred or other available credit cards to pay for your subscription. Kindle Newspaper and Magazine Privacy and SecurityWhen you subscribe to a newspaper or magazine on Kindle, Amazon will share the name, billing address, and order information associated with your newspaper or magazine purchase with the publisher. Amazon will not share any information for your blog subscriptions. Publishers may use this information for marketing purposes. If you do not want the publisher to use your name and address from your subscriptions for marketing purposes, you can update your privacy setting at Manage Your Kindle.
Amazon or publishers may share this information with a circulation-auditing organization, such as the Audit Bureau of Circulation and BPA Worldwide. These organizations monitor magazine and newspaper sales to provide verification of circulation numbers. Amazon does not share your credit card information with the publisher.
