  • Asian Philanthropy Advisory Network Works to increase the quality and quantity of philanthropy in Asia by strengthening the institutional infrastructure and improving the operating environment for the philanthropy sector.
  • Association of Small Foundations Provides members with peer learning opportunities, targeted resources, and a collective voice in the philanthropic community.
  • The Chronicle of Philanthropy Serves as a print and online news source for foundation leaders, fund raisers, grant makers and others involved in philanthropic enterprises.
  • Community Foundations A collaboration between the Council on Foundations and Community Foundations of America to promote the 650 community foundations in the United States and help urban and rural communities connect with them.
  • Community Foundations of Canada Offers development, training and partnership opportunities to a growing network of community foundations in Canada.
  • The Connect U.S. Fund A donors’ collaborative with a grant-making fund managed by the Tides Foundation. Members work to address critical global issues including poverty, climate change and nuclear proliferation.
  • Council on Foundations Works to create an environment in which grant-making foundations and corporations can grow and thrive, and provides members with products and services needed to achieve goals.
  • East Africa Association of Grantmakers Promotes grant making in Eastern Africa by pooling local resources, strengthening relationships with foreign funders and enabling its member organizations to share their experiences.
  • European Foundation Centre Promotes collaboration among foundations and other partners to advance the public good in Europe and beyond.
  • Foundation Center Strengthens the nonprofit sector by advancing knowledge about U.S. philanthropy.
  • Google — Philanthropy Provides a user-generated directory of philanthropic resources and related categories of interest.
  • GuideStar Provides information to philanthropies and nonprofits to advance transparency and enable users to make better decisions and encourage charitable giving.
  • Independent Sector Provides a leadership forum for charities, foundations and corporate giving programs committed to advancing the common good in the United States and around the world.
  • National Science Foundation A major funding source for the fields of mathematics, computer science and the social sciences, it accounts for approximately 20 percent of federal support to academic institutions for basic research.
  • National Center for Family Philanthropy Promotes philanthropic values, vision and excellence across generations of donors and donor families.
  • Network for Good Provides training and tools—such as selecting social networks, using RSS, and creating blogs about critical issues—for raising funds effectively online.
  • Philanthropy New York The community of philanthropic foundations based in the New York City region supports thousands of nonprofits and NGOs located in New York, the United States, and around the world that dedicate their work to social justice issues.
  • Philanthropy Roundtable A national network that provides organizational structure to help independent donors achieve charitable objectives.
  • PRI Makers Network Serves as a resource to philanthropic organizations for information about program-related and other investments and as a forum for networking and collaboration between funders and investors.

  • United States International Grantmaking A project of the Council on Foundations, works to ease barriers to cross-border grant making for U.S foundations and streamline communication and reporting procedures required by the Internal Revenue Service.
