Lyse Doucet - Chief International Correspondent


An award-winning Chief International Correspondent and Senior Presenter for BBC World News and BBC World Service radio, Lyse regularly anchors special news coverage from the field and interviews world leaders. Lyse also reports across the BBC including for Newsnight. She played a key role in BBC coverage of the 'Arab Spring' across the Middle East and North Africa and has covered all the major stories in the region for the past 20 years. She regularly visits Afghanistan and Pakistan from where she has been reporting since 1988.



Komla Dumor - Presenter, Focus on Africa


Komla joined the BBC in 2007 after a decade of broadcast journalism in his native Ghana where he was ‘Journalist of the Year‘. From 2007-2009, he hosted Network Africa for BBC World Service, before joining The World Today. In 2009, Komla became the first host of the African business news programme on BBC World News, Africa Business Report. Komla has travelled across Africa, meeting top entrepreneurs and reporting on business trends. In 2010, Komla became a lead presenter for the European morning segment on BBC World News.



Yalda Hakim - Presenter and Correspondent


Yalda joined BBC World News in December 2012 and made her on-screen debut in March 2013 presenting a special three-part series of Our World entitled, Iraq: Ten Years On. Before joining BBC World News, Yalda was the presenter of SBS Dateline in Australia. From a headline-making investigation in Afghanistan's Kandahar province to her reporting from Libya during the Arab Spring, Yalda has built up a wealth of journalistic experience around the world. 



Mishal Husain - Presenter, BBC World News


Mishal presents news bulletins on BBC1 in the UK and is known internationally for her work on BBC World News, where she fronts Impact with Mishal Husain. She was a main host for the BBC’s daily coverage of the London 2012 Olympic Games and has also presented Newsnight. Mishal has reported from around the world and presented live programmes on location including from Pakistan after the deaths of Osama bin Laden and Benazir Bhutto, from Cairo during Egypt's revolution, and from China during the Beijing Olympics.



Stephen Sackur - Presenter, HARDtalk


Stephen presents the channel's flagship current affairs interview programme, HARDtalk. A BBC News journalist since 1986, Stephen has worked across BBC World News, BBC News Channel and BBC World Service. Before taking over HARDtalk, Stephen was based in Brussels as the BBC's Europe correspondent, covering major stories such as the 2004 Madrid terror attack, and the expansion of the European Union. In 2010, he was named 'International TV Personality of the Year’ by the Association of International Broadcasters.



Jon Sopel - Presenter, Global with Jon Sopel


Jon is a presenter and correspondent on BBC News and BBC One in the UK and a lead anchor on BBC World News. Joining the BBC in 1983 as a reporter/producer on BBC Radio Solent, Jon has since garnered acclaim for his extensive reporting across UK politics. Jon was Chief Political Correspondent for BBC News before spending four years as the BBC's Paris Correspondent. In 2005, he became main presenter on The Politics Show on BBC One. In 2007, Jon was named ‘Political Journalist of the Year’ by the Public Affairs Industry.
