Security source: French journalist arrested for taking pictures of security offices

Baghdad (NINA) – Security source said that the French journalist is detained for taking pictures of important security offices.

He added that the journalist is now being interrogated to find out the reasons for taking the pictures.

Last week, police detained a French journalist for taking pictures without obtaining official permit.

In a statement to the press, a diplomatic source said that Iraqi police arrested last week the journalist (Nadir Dandun) who works for the French monthly (Le Monde Diplomatique) and been detained in a prison without being charged.

He added that the arrest carried out last week by Iraqi police in Doura area, southern Baghad, and is still being detained without being charged. / End.
