The National Alliance to Support Legitimacy, that groups supporters of ousted President Mohamed Mursi, called for more demonstrations on Tuesday.

The alliance announced last week that it would stage protests for a week to commemorate the passing of one month on the Rabaa al-Adaweya and Nahda events of August 14.

Over 1,000 people were killed when Egyptian authorities dispersed two pro-Mursi sit-ins in Cairo and Giza one month ago.

One person was killed and 12 were wounded in confrontations across the country since the alliance announced its week-long demonstration efforts for this month.

In a statement on its official Facebook page, the alliance criticized post-Mursi governance and argued that it is not truly representative of Egyptians.
