The Redskins announced on Saturday that they have added tight end Fred Davis to their injury report, and that he is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions because of an ankle injury.

Davis practiced every day this week, and hadn’t been listed on the injury report. It wasn’t clear if he suffered the injury during Friday’s practice or during Saturday’s walk-through.

Davis started the first two games of the season, but in the second half of last week’s game at Green Bay, he was benched in favor of rookie Jordan Reed. Davis acknowledged missing some assignments, and Redskins coaches said they went to Reed because the rookie had done better in practices leading up to the game and that they believed at the time, he gave them a better chance to win.
