On September 27, Governance Studies hosted a forum to commemorate the creation of its newest research center. To mark the occasion, former Vice President Al Gore delivered a keynote address about his own views on government reinvention and tackling American governance challenges. Senior Fellow Elaine Kamarck, who will serve as the founding director of the Center for Effective Public Management, provided an overview of the new center’s vision, future policy research work, and goals.
