Joe Bastardi hired by start-up firm WeatherBell

Less than three weeks after resigning as AccuWeather's chief long-range forecaster, Joe Bastardi announced Friday that he has accepted the position of chief forecaster at WeatherBell, a fledgling weather consulting firm.

Joe Bastardi resigns from AccuWeather

Accuweather's chief long range forecaster, Joe Bastardi, resigned from the company yesterday. Bastardi, who produced popular columns and videos on AccuWeather's subscription website "AccuWeather Pro", was the lead forecaster for the company's seasonal forecasts and hurricane outlooks. He also frequently appeared as a weather and climate commentator on Fox News

Howard Bernstein & Topper Shutt winter outlook

The start of meteorological winter (December 1) is just one week away and it appears the last of the region's winter outlooks has been released. Like the ones that came before it, the outlook of Howard Bernstein and Topper Shutt of WUSA-TV9 follows the tired format of recapping last winter with all sorts of dramatic snow B-roll, talking about what La Nina is, and concluding by predicting less snow.
