The letter Dan Snyder wrote to Redskins fans about the team’s name was pretty well distributed earlier this month. I received it in both text message and e-mail form; many season ticket holders got hard copies in the mail; and it generated extensive media coverage. It’s remained the top story on the team’s Web site for more than three weeks, even as games continue to come and go.

But just in case you haven’t seen it yet, the team is evidently handing it out to customers at the official team stores — or at least, at the Dulles branch. Reader @sportsyack bought the above outfit for his niece this week; he left with the outfit, the receipt, and a two-page copy of the letter from Snyder.

And to the inevitable comments, no, I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with handing out the letter to customers at the team stores. I just find it interesting.
