Feaver held a number of reporting and editing positions at The Washington Post and washingtonpost.com from 1969 until he retired in March 2005 as executive editor of washingtonpost.com. As a reporter he specialized in transportation issues and focused on the construction and completion of the Metro rail system in Washington and aviation safety matters.
