Georgetown offers a diverse array of courses for its students, in keeping with the Jesuit tradition of educating the whole person. Classes cover everything from global health issues to modern political thought to management science and more.

Several courses include non-conventional tools and approaches, which give students opportunities to connect classroom learning with the real world. For example, Walsh School of Foreign Service students in a Causes of War seminar participated in weekly sessions using a telepresence classroom that put them face-to-face with their classmates in Qatar. In the Program on Science in the Public Interest, students learn about government firsthand as they help create legislation and work to pass a bill in Congress.
